What time does wrestling start on Friday and Saturday?

2 p.m. on Friday
11 a.m. on Saturday

Abilene, Baldwin, Burlington, Carbondale-Santa Fe Trail, Chapman, DeSoto, Eudora, Garnett-Anderson County, LaCygne-Prairie View, Lenexa-Saint James Academy, Louisburg, Osawatomie, Ottawa, Paola, Spring Hill

At 140 there is only 4 ranked kids because Colby is not at this regionals but there is Hopkins from Anderson County who was ranked at number two for the better part of the year, Switzer from OZ who was ranked part of last year until he got injured, and ty page who has looked better as the year has went on. Should be a fun weight to watch.

Jess Lemon, Chapman, is currently ranked 8th at 152. Another person to watch for is Colton Picking from Abilene at 152. Last time Jess and Colton wrestled, they went into overtime. Jess won in overtime 3-1

Once again this regional will be the one in the state to watch. We are really looking forward to a great two days of wrestling from a bunch of top rate kids from great schools. Good luck to all the wrestlers and their teams.

First Round - 2:00
Quarterfinals - 10 minutes after first round
First Round Consolations - 10 minutes after Quarters
Semifinals - 10 minutes after First Round Consolation

Saturday
Consolation Cross Bracketing - 11:00
Consolation Quarterfinals - 1:00
Consolation Semifinal - 3:00
Consolation Finals (two mats) - 5:00
Championship Finals - 6:30

Admission for Friday is $4 and Saturday is $7.

Where are the rankings at? I can only ever find the top 6.

The info sheet we received from EHS lists a 2:30 start time. I am assuming that is the official schedule.

The 2 p.m. start time is listed in the KSHSAA manual as a "suggested start time."

There are on this forum. Kit Harris does a wonderful job in keeping them updated. Look for the topic that says 4A rankings.

I forgot that 4A rankings were in the forum. I keep looking in the high school section under KWCA rankings. That is much easier.

I would not call it a highlight but a very scary moment. It had the whole gym very still.
At the end of the 103 lbs. finals which was one of the most exciting finals @ Eudora. The young man from Abilene was what appeared to be convulsions. He was down for what seemed like 15-20 minutes. I was looking at all the wrestlers while he was being looked at. They were all very concerned and shocked at what they were seeing. We went from a frenzied crowd to dead silence. I am happy to say that the Eudora people gave him a chance to recover and take his spot atop the podium. I hope he and his family are all well and OK. Good luck all at state.
