I know that I enjoy seeing the competition ahead of time, but its to be prepared, not to be scared. I am more likely to skip a tourn where my son would only have C/D comp. in his bracket. We get very excited whenever we see that Beeson or Green is in our bracket. I know that Kolton will come away from the match having learned more then if he blew thru a RR of C/D wrestlers.
My wrestling mentality would agree with u Dployd, we are here to wrestle, become better wrestlers and the only way we get better is to wrestle tougher comp., learn from them and practice for the next chance to meet up.
We have traveled thru weather that my friends and family think "way to bad just to wrestle". We look for and hope for the best kids to be there. The only weekend we have missed this year was when Kolton was admitted into the hospital at 3am on a Fri. morning with severe croup. So for us anyway, its just the last minute illness that keeps him away from the mats.
