Ray-Pec High School in Missouri starting next year is hosting the "Border War Duals" which features five teams for each state; Missouri and Kansas. Each team will wrestle five duals against all of the opposing state's teams with the state winning the most duals being declared the winner of the tournament (25duals). Each team from the winning state receives a traveling plaque that they must bring back the following year to defend. The tournament is the second weekend in December next year being on the 13th. We have all ten teams committed for next year but would like to know if more teams are interested to either expand this tournament or for teams that may not come back. Next years tournament features the following teams: from Kansas; Olathe South, Olathe East, Olathe North, Blue Valley West and Leavenworth and from Missouri; Ray-Pec, Kearney, Park Hill, Platte County and Lee's Summit West.
The tournament is currently only consisting of the Metro Area teams but we would like it to include teams from all parts of the state.
