Here is the link to the brackets for the Winfield tournament. It is in Excel format so you must have Microsoft Office or Works to view it. The weights are seperated by tabs on the bottom of the page.
Yes, it was a very well ran tournament. EXCEPT...the time it took to get our medals at the end of the day. We waited 50 minutes to get our sons 2nd place medal 6U43B and then they had no current medals so they had to give him an old one.
good tourney but not very clear on placing found out later that son placed did not get medal asked winfield member coach said didn't but did thats ok had nice time!!!!!
I loved that it started on time! That does not happen often enough. It did take a VERY long time to get medals and brackets. We wrestled two matches all day (because of one no show and another kid left before his match with my son). That is no fault of Windfield. We couldn't leave until last match in our bracket was finished. It was 100 and something. We were done wrestling by 3:30pm. We waited for the last match to finish and then waited another 50 minutes for the medal and bracket. Question... is there some reason why tournaments such as this one don't split it like others do????? I've been wondering this for a long time. Does anyone have a good reason why you would not split a tournament? We have been wrestling for MANY years and I personally find split tournaments much more enjoyable as does my son. Please help me understand why not all are run this way.
