Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion Kids Folkstyle Returning Placers for Ottawa 6U State

Just Curious How many kids placed at Ottawa who are returning this year. My son will be returning hoping to improve on a 5th place finish last year. He lost a overtime heartbreaker in the semi-finals then lost by 1 point in Consolation Semi-finals on his way to 5th.

Hartley from Haysville was 6th last year.

Could you also tell there weight then and now. Also could you put their current age.

Im not sure on what all the placers are but I can tell you who will be in contention at 55-61 lbs from the wichita area and a few others. 61lbs. you need to watch for newton if he stays at 61, hartley from haysville, miller from buhler, smith from maize, and the other miller kid. 58 you have bockover, lautt, young from lincoln if he is there or he may be at 61, 55 you have fisher of garden plain, spexarth, fields of parsons and a kid from salina. those are just a few in each weight class.

Parker Schrater took 2nd last year at 43, should be top dog at 46

Brycen Schroeder of Haysville is returning for his third year at Ottawa. He will be in the 52 lb bracket. He took second the past two years. He was beat 2 years ago by Jacob Beeson at 43lbs and was beat by Gunner Genzler last year at 49 lbs.

We are hoping he will win it this year but I guess time will tell . . . it will be our last year in Ottawa because Brycen will be 8U next year. (I guess we have a one year old . . . perhaps changes will be made before he starts wrestling!?)

Tyler Allen from Derby was 1st last year at 37. Look for him to contend at 43 or 46.

Cade Miller from Team Lightning was 3rd last year and will contend at 40 or 43, whichever he goes.

Ryan Murphy from Maize was 4th last year at 46. I think he's 52 this year.

Devon Walker (5th) from Chanute and Whitney Quandt (6th) from Valley Center at 37 last year. Probably 40 or 43 this year.

This will be our first and last year at Ottawa 6U State. We will tentativley be in the 61 bracket. We are wrestling 64 this weekend for the first time this season, in the past we have been in 61.
