Was just interested in making ALL kids clubs aware of this college meet & seeing who is planning on supporting it by being in attendance as it is important to show that a Div 1 program could get adequate support.
I know there is a kids meet at Rock Creek this Saturday which is only 12 miles away , perhaps you could swing over and catch the afternoon action. Thanks
So as an FYI here are the details :
K-STATE TO HOST SOUTHWEST CONFERENCE COLLEGIATE WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIPS- **This Weekend !! ** MARCH 1 AT PETERS RECREATION COMPLEX
MANHATTAN -- Collegiate wrestling club teams from schools across the region will take to the mats for the 2008 National Collegiate Wrestling Association's Southwest Conference Championships, Saturday, March 1, at Kansas State University's Peters Recreation Complex.

I would love to go, but Uncle Sam said no. Any idea if this event will be recorded? If so, is there a way of purchasing a disk?

Newman and KSU looked strong. about 200-250 spectators i would say in the rec complex. Some dominating individuals Hershee KSU, Fox and Chenoweth of Newman.

I wish that Rec Center was there when I started college there in the fall of 1969. It is a very impressive facility with a lot good exercise opportunities for the students. There were a lot of students there yesterday taking advantage of it. In driving thru the campus there were a lot of changes but a lot of old familiar spots too. I was impressed with both Newman and KSU. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the event. The movable stands were nice and close to the mats. You were very close to the action especially for the finals.
