How many kids were there Sunday?
Great matches all day long. The parade was a great addition.

I haven't heard a number yet either. I would be interested to know. The Ottawa folks have always done a great job with this event. This is the third year we have attended. A great fun-filled day of wrestling. I saw two 64-man brackets and at least 5-6 32-man brackets. We got out of there about 6pm (after the 55# finals) and they were still wrestling the finals.

Wanted to add my thanks to Ottawa for the great tournament. There were some awesome matches in the finals. Really throughout the day:) My son wrestled the 55lb bracket. The kids who placed in that bracket will defiently be some kids to watch out for in 8u next year!

I would like to thank the folks in Ottawa for putting on such a great event for all of the 6 and unders. This was our second year at the tournament and both have been outstanding. You sure know how to make it a lifetime worth of memories for those little kids. The tournament is great, competition is outstanding, and the hospitality of the Ottaw club is second to none. Thanks for all the time and effort. You folks are awesome!

I also want to thank Ottawa for a successfully run tournament. This has to be one of the smoothest we have been to all year. Everyone was super nice and willing to help. I especially would like to commend you on the referees that we had on mat 2. They were wonderful! Each time there was a call such as locked hands, the refs took the time to show the kids what they were doing wrong. This helps the kids understand the call better if it is explained to them. Great job Ottawa and mat 2 officials!!!

I agree the black gentleman on mat two did a great job. He was in complete control all day. He did an incredible working with each kid, and explaining his ruling for each call made. Veyr sure of every call he made. However their were several officials who weren't so hot. Mat One and I believe mat six very inconsistent, hesitant, and defensive. Very egotistical. Yes refs can be wrong and they can correct themselves. It is ok. And sometimes they need to remember that. All that matters is that they get the call right. Even if that means going back and changing the initial ruling. I wish more officials would think this way.

Thanks Ottawa, great tournament. Your club and volunteers always do a superb job. It is good that you let the 6 and under girls and boys show their stuff.
