As "crunch time" is nearing, I want to address our Bronze level coaches!
The State of Kansas has over 3,000 Bronze certified coaches. That number is still #1 in the entire Nation!! This fact is due in large part to a group of leaders that voted several years ago, requiring certification to coach in the State Tournament Series.
99% of you, are coaching for the "right" reasons ... you are to be commended. However, there are a handful that perhaps need a bit of a refresher!! This message probably falls amid, "preaching to the choir" but take a deep breath and coach as if a video camera was focused on you. Make sure your film loop would be something you would be proud of!
To those of you scrambling to get to a clinic before subs roll around! Make sure your coaching is for the good of the whole not for the good of one.
Make sure you have your clubs "consent" before you spend your money! Every year we have a few coaches that try to "buy" their way on to the floor by getting their Bronze!
NOTE: A Bronze card by itself does not insure your credentials at Sub-District, District or State! Additional requirements are a USA Wrestling Coaches membership card and your identification. But also you must have the acceptance and approval of your club!
If you don't have that approval ... save your $95.00 if you think that will get you on the floor!
