has anyone ever thought about doing a topic like this. It would be interesting to see some of the old timers and see what they are doing now. then again maybe we dont want to know what some of them are doing. just a thought.

Yes ... this topic has been brought up before but cool if you want to do it again!

Who do you want to know about?

Are you making a POSITIVE difference in the life of kids?

Who are you and where did you wrestle? I'm Eddie McGlasson wrestled at Ark City, 160lbs, and graduated in 90. Currently coaching at Mill Valley (Shawnee, KC)

Oh, believe me you. Holliday knows exactly where Franks was from. Although, he has moved on a little from his man crush on Gooch. Just a little though! I forget who Holliday said his new man crush was on, but I don't think it'll last as long as his one for Gooch did!

Chris Ngo was a 3 timer who only lost one high school match (thanks to Travis Phippen). Brian won state once (decisioned Ben Orozco of Ellsworth).

Didn't Kendall Hahn of Norton give C. Ngo his first high school loss? It was a one point decision in the finals of the 1990 (?) Panther Classic at Phillipsburg.

Ngo would not have been in High Scool yet in 1990. I am pretty sure he graduated in 1995. I thought his only loss was in state finals his freshman year.

Egg...you're getting Ngo and John Dong confused. Dong graduated in '91 and was a 3-timer from Concordia. I believe Hawn beat him his Jr. season at Regionals and State.

maybe some of the coaches and parents can give us an update on some of the past kids from kansas. maybe even starting way back when. whatever that is. i just like to hear about how some of the best wrestlers in kansas turned out and how wrestling influenced them for their futures. I know for me without wrestling I wouldnt have any discipline. Would not be where I am at today thats for sure. So lets hear about some of those old timers. you are an old timer if you have graduated highschool wether you like it or not.

Holliday--Thanks, you are right; it was John Dong that I was thinking of and not C. Ngo. Old age tends to cloud the mind!

I don't remember their wrestling at regional and state; though Kendall Hahn was a state champion that year and Norton was 4A. I just remember the match at P-Burg as it was a doozy!
