Congratulations to the top 6 at 8U 58 and 8U 61, the two toughest brackets in the state with 80+ competitors in each.

8U 58: Jurgens, Guyer, Onwugbufor, Gowin, Lowell, Murphy
8U 61: Will, Seabolt, Villers, Dultmeier, Ostertag, Reynolds

Congratulations to Tyler, Austin, Cody, Dylan, and Jacob. Job well done guys.

You should take a look at these weights at 10under.There are state placers, qualifiers that even get passed districts in District 2.Pretty stacked.

Almost all weights at state are stacked. But, these 2 weights outweighed all the other weight classes in terms of sheer number of competitors. Out of the 80+ kids in each, I would bet that there were some former state placers that didn't make it to state. I mean, with 88 kids in a weight, that's an average of an 11-man bracket at subs. See what I'm saying?

These 2 weight classes were certainly stacked as were the 52-55# bracket. The 58# bracket had a wrestler from Ark City get beat out at districts that had placed the prior 2 years at state.

Guys, it is the state tournament. Let's not name every weight and age division just because you or your kid was in that weight. They were all tough in their own way.
