The Jayhawks are in the Championship medal round after going 3-0 in their Pool.

The Wildcats are 2-0 and are tied in the 3rd dual with Ohio 15-15. The winner has an automatic advancement to the Championship medal round.

The Rattlers are winless so far. In past years, our 2nd and 3rd teams have had most of their success in the consolation round on day 2.

I am very anxious to see the individual results so if Will Cokely or someone in the know could please POST them as soon as you get a chance it would be greatly appreciated. Much Thanks and Good Job Fellas !! It sounds like these young men battled hard and represented Kansas Wrestling well.

Am I correct in uderstanding the "Jay"Hawks went 7-1 to finish 5th? Could have probably beat the 3,4 teams and been 3rd instead? Great Job young men!! And a thank you to Eric Luedke for going to the event and giving back to Kansas and coaching these guys!

I want to thank all of the parents, coaches, and supporters for making this happen. We took 73 wrestlers from all four corners of the state up to Iowa. For many this was their first real wrestling road trip and I think I can speak for all them when I said that they had a great time. They got to wrestle kids from Iowa, Wyoming, Montana, Ohio, Michigan, and other states. They got to experience a team event and make friends with wrestlers from all over Kansas. The wins were great but to me the friendships these kids made are really what it is all about. I hope we can keep this event going and that we can think about taking even more kids next year! Thanks again to all that helped especially: Doug Vanderlinden and Matt Collins (3 year MSND veterans!), Joel Hood, Eric Luedke, Aeron Hill, James Fox, Doug Eck, Dal Eck, John Johnson, Jerry Baurle, Tom Williams (legal assistance and general counsel), Freddy Medina (he is the man! He got a van in Garden City and brought several wrestlers and dads up!), Loren Armstrong and his wife, and all of the supporters (parents and grandparents from all over Kansas!)

This event needs to keep going. Obviously Kansas is right there with the top states in the nation. 3rd last year and 5th this year with our top teams - speaks volumes. BUT - we need to keep the excitement level going. Lets take our best! Will is right, the friendships developed are unbeleivable, not only among the kids but between the parents as well. That is what will make us a great and powereful state in the ranks of the wrestling world. I know we all have other sports; baseball, soccer, track, etc... but lets keep this train rolling next year. Purcel - get some help and start the ball rolling. Seybold - you're committed. We'll feed some kids from out west if you guys can keep it going!

7. Montana Griz 53-34
8. Tennessee 53-35

Kansas Wildcats, 14th overall, 4-4

1. IA Gold 46-35
2. N Dakota Stars 49-40
3. Ohio Young Bucks 27-57
4. IA White 68-25
5. Illinois Elite 8-90
6. Ohio Young Bucks 25-64
7. Montana Gold 58-30
8. IA Gold 27-61

Kansas Rattlers- 22nd overall, first in Copper pool, 4-4

1. Illinois Elite 0-98

Thank you for allowing Jaylan the opportunity to represent the state of KS as part of the Rattler team! He had a great time, made new friends, and widened his wrestling perspective. All 3 teams represented the state of KS!!! Congrats to all participants, coaches, and those who supported the kids!

I would like to Thank Everyone who helped put this event together. Thank You Freddy and all of you guys down south for helping Cayleb get to K.C. I know my son had a great time, even after the knee injury. He couldn't stop talking about how much fun he had. He said all the Wildcat coaches were awesome and he made many new friends. He's already telling his little brother to make it next year so he can go back. Thanx Mr. Cokeley for giving my son the opportunity.

Sincerely
The Campbells

I want to thank Will Cokeley and all the coaches and parents who made this happen for these boys. Sounds like they had a great time!! Although Craig and I couldn't be there this weekend, Colton went undefeated, 8-0! Maybe he does better without his dad matside!! It's too bad that Colton will be too old next year to go again!! Congrats to all the kids!! And a big THANK YOU to the Brawlers coaches and parents for everything you do for our team! It doesn't go unnoticed!!
