Regular HS season events, most by quality of competition and some by their shear size -- Beast, Reno TOC, Walsh Ironman, Powerade, King of the Mountain, Five Counties, Bethlehem Holiday Classic, Top Hat, Medina, Minnesota Christmas tournament, Eastern States, Manaheim Holiday, Clovis Doc Buchanan.

Looking in order:

BOE/Ironman top 2

Reno probably third on sheer size as the talent has regressed recently. Clash is a close fourth.

After that, things open up. I think the Dvorak is rising as a quality tournament in the state of Illinois. Powerade is an awesome tournament too.

I think KOTM and Top Hat are being overranked here. Same with Medina, which has lost some of its luster (Brecksville has jumped it in the state of Ohio).

I copied this off themat.com. What do ALL of these tournaments have in common?

Answer to above trivia question:

Kansas wrestlers cannot attend these tournaments?

You are correct! It is shame that our best teams or best wrestlers are NOT ALLOWED to showcase their talent at the best high school, folkstyle, tournaments in the country. Surely the KWCA can get 100% behind a KSHSAA change to allow a team to travel anywhere for ONE event per season. These trips can be great for learning and for wrestling.
