Coach Stovall will be coaching the NCWA wrestling team at Wichita State this year. If you are looking for somewhere to wrestle, shoot him a email at markstovall@heartspring.org
He has plans to compete in many open events this year and the NCWA National tournament in March. You will need to be enrolled in at least 6 hours to be able to compete.

The fact that Coach Stovall is leading the WSU team is huge for our sport in this state!! This is very big news!! It really does take solid coaching to lead a team to the top of the NCWA.
Hopefully we have KSU and WSU competing for the National title in the Spring!!
Congrats, good luck, and thank you Coach!

Congrats to the Wichita State program and Coach Stovall, but i have a question with this. Is this the right location to attempt to get a D1 program started? Newman already has an established DII program in Wichita.

With no football program I think this gives WSU less male scholarships to match with female to comply with all of the Title IX stuff. However, they are not as healthy financially as KU and KSU. My personal opinion is that WSU, with some substantial private funding, would be the best place to get a D1 program started.
