Isaac Ruiz will return as the Defending State Champion.

I personally believe this kid has what it takes to win again.
He is a humble kid who loves the sport. If he loves what he's doing, (you can't take it away from him). He will return and defend his championship.

I expect Isaac Ruiz to be the preseason #1 in the All-Class rankings at 103.

I mentioned in my other post,

New freshman have been mentioned but the returners with experience in state really have a leg up.

Its more than likely definite that the qualifiers last year and placers at state will return. These guys will also begin to be the upperclass returners. I'm really interested in who the schools like NORTON, DERBY, GARDNER and MANHATTAN are bringing to the mat. It's going to be a really interesting year.

Other than Ruiz and Windham, I believe this years class of FR. have more experience on big stages that most of the returning HS qualifiers. Little Vesta has more experience that most of the HS qualifiers as well, but he was blocked from varsity last year by big Bro. None the less it will be proven this winter on the mat as it should be. It is fun to speculate.

Wouldn't have thought Luke Cole would still go 103 as a Sr. not many do. He would be Behind Ruiz, and with Windham if he can make it.

He will be very tough. How much does Luke weigh naturally? Not many Sr's can make 103. Those that do surely have a large advantage. (Windham and Cole). A SR 103 just has different muscle structure than a FR. 103 even if they are about the same size.
