Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion Kids Folkstyle Singlet Useage

We purchased a singlet last year for our son (10U) different then our clubs singlets. He wears it on occation and is getting negative comments for wearing it. Do any clubs have guidelines that require a wrestler to wear a certain singlet?

Some clubs require it so they can see their wrestlers easily at meets. The club my son wrestles for does not. However,the coaches for this club wear a bright colored shirt and are easily found in a crowd. This allows the wrestlers to come to us if they need something.

It's up to individual clubs to impose rules or
guidelines as to what singlets are allowed to be worn. When our high school kids come back they have the option to wear what they please, but their sweats must have the team logo on it for
easier identification, especially at state.
