I think it will be a good year. There are somewhere around 60-75 more entries than previous years.

I heard there are 52 guys in the 149 bracket!

In the early going...I know Labette started strong with five of six guys with wins.

There will be several teams gain revenge on the Cowboys this year, to include Minnesota. Given a choice, I would rather lose to the Gophers and Cornhuskers and Cyclones than the Hawkeyes, Tigers and to a lesser degree the Sooners. The Sooners may exact additional revenge in a few hours in Norman.

Way too far and way too much snow in Minnesota that time of year.

Actually the dual well be pretty close. It certainly isn't in the bank for either team. It will be interesting to see if the Sooners leave Bach's redshirt on. I would think they would but you never know.

That was a pretty solid showing by FHSU at the Open. They still haven't jumped into the top twenty yet. I think they will finish higher than they are expected. They will be pretty loaded next year with the returners that are red-shirting and the existing line-up.

The Labette guys racked up a lot of wins, but didn't bring home a lot of hardware. I think even the second and third stringers all came home with wins though. They have a few guys out with injuries. They had some tough losses in the later rounds. HWT Ben Hohensee took OCU's Finn (returning NCAA Runner-Up) into double OT before losing. Ben should take Juco's this year.

That looked like the toughest and biggest Hays Open I have ever seen. I hope that starts a trend.

Congrats to Tommy Edgmon for his championship! I wish I could have been there to see the tournament. FHSU did well. Hope they have continued success!
