Team competition should be tight. No clear cut favorite. 103 Tommy Williams vs Colby Witten 112 Caleb Seaton vs Dane Norris 119 Tyler Stokes vs Jeff Vesta (what everyone wanted last weekend!) 125 Zach Tanenbaum vs Chaz Lawrence - III 130 Will Cox show up? Dalke 135 140 Madl vs Peoples - III 145 Walker vs Crank 152 Lalo vs Curtis 160 171 189 215 Nowak 285 That is a good start. Although competitive, too many Johnson County HS's make this on par with a 321A tournament. How many times do the Johnson County, Leavenworth County, Wyandotte County and Douglas County wrestlers see each other see each other in a season?

Why even have the tournament, if its similiar to a 321a tournament. Evidently there no good. Kansas should just tell all 321a and 4a wrestlers to go watch the 5a and 6a wrestlers. Better then that we should just have them play basketball.

I think BV North is coming to Huskie this year. I guess it doesn't matter. Just have to wait and see where they go.

I have always considered this one of the top tournaments of the year on the Aquinas schedule. Goddard has come to this tournament in the past. Hutchison has brought some great wrestlers like Romero Cotton and Ben Evans. There have been some great matchups in the past like Jed Mamie and Ben Evans. I am not really sure why anyone would question the quality of this tournament. Some of the finest wrestling teams and wrestlers in the Kansas City Kansas metro area have wrestled in this tournament. This is a quality tournament. I also want to commend all the quality young high school wrestlers on Johnson County, Wyandotte County, Leavenworth County, Douglas County and 321A teams. You are quality young wrestlers and should be commended for your participation in the toughest sport in high school athletics. I think it takes quite a bit of character for any young man to step on a mat and go in head to head combat with a peer. I admire each and everyone of you. I also want to commend Blue Valley Northwest and its coaches for putting together such a fine tournament in which the best schools in our area can compete against great teams like Hutchison, Maize, Manhattan, Newton, Andover, Topeka, Lawrence, Lawrence Free State and Goddard in the past. This has been and continues to be a great tournament.

I would agree with Husker Fan, in the past there has been some really good matches here. Caldwell/ Hansen Crank/ Isenberg Mamie/ Evens and I would like too say (Was fun too watch on tape) Stokes and Goodwin was good.
Even in the past... It would of been my freshman and sophomore year... at weights 112, and 119... 3 of the 4 state champions were here... Deshazer, Edgmon, and Wall.

I might be mistaken but didn't James Wauer stick Stokes in the final last year at the Huskie?
I got invited to the party by mistake.... Who knew?
