Let’s let the matches do the jawin' and not worry about some fancy pants overall rankin'. You might jest be in fer a surprise when sum of yer “big school” boys is countin’ lights... Ricky Bobby I know you have vehemently denied it to me in the past when I have suggested that you might be the return of Gutwrench1 . I will have to take you at your word on your denial. I have to say though that your comment above about the big school boys countin ligts is very similar to the way old gutwrench suggested to Andy Hurla about what was going to happen to him and the rest of the Kansas City Kansas metro wrestlers against the KCMO metro wrestlers. I believe he said something about them staring at the ceiling lights legs a kickin and counting the junebugs. I probably do not have that exact since it has been almost three years ago but your comment does remind me of gutwrench's.

Okay Ricky I won't accuse you of being gutwrench1 anymore. But now I got to ask are you really Will Ferrell?

I was on some fairly decent teams at Manhattan. When I was in high school MHS was the biggest 6A school in the state. We went to Beloit and every year teams like Hoxie (you'll have to help me with enrollment...I seem to remember something like 200 students) would give us everything we could handle. I don't know if it's still the same way, but it used to be that if you wanted great competition, you wouldn't head East on 70.
The fact that girls are forced to wrestle at state in the middle of the week is laughably sexist.

Damon,
When you were in high school Hoxie probably had no more than 150 kids in 9-12. In the late 90's and early 00's they had an amazing run of talent, which when coupled with their great tradition and outstanding coaching made them almost bulletproof and unbeatable--regardless of classification.

Greg Mann Norton, KS IIRC, Norton has had some pretty decent teams as well, regardless of classification.

Yes, Norton has also had, fairly recently, moments of relative fame and success. Again, great talent backed by tradition and joined with great coaching is hard to beat!

Westkan11 - go to the KFNF radio website/Oberlin. They are doing live coverage as we speak. I just turned it on so dont have any results to speak of. Heard Flanagin of Colby win, Anderson of Clay Center win, Arnberger of Colby win, right now on the 189lb bracket with Bugby of Colby leading 6-2 over Dickerson of Abiline in the 1st.
