I knew of a kid from New York that was a 6 time state champ, starting in 7th grade.

In 1998 Scott Coleman's opponent in the national championship finals was a 5x state champ from Arizona. He won it as an 8th grader. I would bet there's a similar rule in most states where there is very little kids' wrestling and the high school wrestling isn't that tough.

The fact that girls are forced to wrestle at state in the middle of the week is laughably sexist.

Lincoln McIlravy won 5 high school state titles in South Dakota and three NCAA's at Iowa. There have been quite a few more in the past 10 years, and if I weren't already blowing off homework I would look them up.

im still wanting to know how he is beating the better highschool competitors. i could see a 6th grader beating 50 bad freshman but he had to of ran across some 1st and 2nd ranked guys. on youtube he looks good....for a 6th grader! being able to last 3 rounds with some of our quality wrestlers like napier, cox or slyter would be a huge accomplishment for someone his age.
