Try to catch up on other action around the state and came across this story. Probably been seen by a lot of people, but for those that haven't seen it: http://www.catchitkansas.com/global/story.asp?s=9737432

Not to overshadow the guys, but I admire all the gals that wrestle for the right reason: competition. Keep in it to win it...

Good video.
Two questions though:

1. Hays High has an impressive looking wrestling room, when was that built?
2. Is it just me or is anyone else craving some Taco Shop right now?

Bill, I would guess that was built around ten years ago, but that is just a guess. I'm trying to remember seeding meetings held in that room, and who was still coaching where. I remember a comment from Brad McBee when he was still at Dodge, and he was in the hunt for a 1 seed at 189, I think. One of the coaches was talking about his kid benching 400 pounds, and Brad said that if he would start on his back, Dodge would concede the seed....Brad has been in Oregon for quite a few years now. It's funny what you remember.

im not trying to sound rude or anything but i think girls should have their own league and if they want to wrestle than they have to wrestle in that league.

Glad to hear more good news about girls wrestling in Kansas and their continued achievements and goals. I love to hear it when girls say they want to go on to college and wrestle. It is an amazing opportunity in a rapidly expanding area of college athletics.
