Zach Bainter-Norton lost to Trevor Oliver-Osborne 7-5 at the MCL tournament. Kaenon Keiswetter-Norton is wrestling at 135 and finished ahead of Kale Newell who I believe will represent Mankato at state unless he has transferred to Smith Center. Also, Landon Keiswetter-Norton is at 130. At 189 John Hein of Hillsboro was beaten at Eureka by Thomas Durham of Fredonia 11-6 I believe. Sheldon Meitler-Halstead at 171 was pinned at Garden Plain by Joe Siale-Chaparral, but he beat Siale at Hesston 14-8. Meitler was also beaten by Gavin Miller of Lyons at the Halstead Tournament. Probably need to move Michael Vander Linden of Burlington into the 6 hole at 112 as he has won the only real match between him and Steven Howard of Eureka. At 103 Colt Skillman of Burlington has looked pretty good, he qualified last year in 4A.

Yes, the Keiswetters can now only wrestle in 3 different weight classes. After the Certification deadline they can weigh in at Certified weight, or one weight class above certified weight and then wrestle one weight class above that. And unless you see a copy of the Norton Weigh-In sheet you do not know exactly what weight they weighed in at.
Keeping in Mind that 1/2 of their weigh-ins will be at the weight class they plan to wrestle at the regional tourn.

I am aware of the Keiswetter boys and the rules about weigh-ins, thank you for the updates. I am also aware that Newell is form Mankato as I know the entire family, an his points are not counted for Smith Center in the rankings.

Doing a good job ranking, but im wondering how Salmans is still #4 at HWT. His only loss is to 4A's undefeated #1 ranked 215 pounder, Tanner Kriss. He pinned Ross Addison earlier this season, and Luke Keener has lost to both Addison and Rice. I guess we'll figure it all out after this weekend when Keener, Rice and Salmans all meet at Philipsburg tourney.

Why is Minneapolis not ranked as a team?

They only have two kids ranked and both of them are the 6th ranked wrestler in their weight. This would only be about 20 some points well short of the fifty or more it takes to make the top ten in most years.

To all,
I have taken all the information and will be watching very closely the results from this weekend, after our League tourney. I really do appreciate all of you that are cordial, helpful, and appreciative of the job I try to do.

I am not going to lie, I do enjoy the rankings and getting to know people just because I do them. Call it an ego boost when you are having a rebuilding year! But remember I am a nice guy(don't tell my athletes) so try to be nice in return, especially those of you who feel you should be ranked I am one man..mistakes are going to happen..its not like my rankings set the seeds for state or anything! I hope you prove me wrong, I hope some of my kids do too!

Hey Coach Brown,

Will you take over the 4A rankings as well? There are only 62 schools instead of the 100 or so that you have to keep track of. I think it would be good character development.

Love,

DeWitt,

I could never ever do the job that you do, what with your superior brain power and awesome sense of style. You my man are a modern Thomas Jefferson, a true Renaissance man...but I am beating a "Dead Horse".

But if you have a couch for me, someone who can cook/clean for me and handle all of my finances..I'll take them over after my wife kicks me out to come live in Eudora! Oh, and you have to pay for gas so someone can dirve me to and from Sabetha everyday!

Browns

ps. I loves you too Bill!

You can add Kansas Wrestling Rankers to the list like weatherman who still get PAID even though they are wrong most of the time. Paid, hah, that's funny. Did you cash your rankings check yet?
