Easy Chief, it’s only an offer. No LOI has been signed and he still has another year until we officially find out.

When it says "Lucas Vincent to Nebraska" one would assume he is going there. You might think of putting "Vincent Offered by Nebraska." It's a little less confusing.

Yeah, it's a little early to make that statement Eric! But I trust you. It's his first offer. If he is as good of a kid as you seem to think, maybe he will end up at Oklahoma! Boomer Sooner!!! That fat lady ain't even warming up her voice yet....

Oh heck, Nebraska is on the way back up. Pellini will do a great job, and I really want to see them move up and take over the Big 12 North. I have to say this. Nebraska is a place that I would love to see a game. I don't have respect for any other fan base like I do Nebraska. It was great to see Callahan and Peterson get the boot.

I am a Husker fan and have always been one, but I have always said that Bo should have gotten the HC gig instead of Solich and I just was waiting for the day for Callahan to get the boot!

Calling it right now - Big XII North will be between KU & Big Red with a little old school Big (8) XII Championship between NU & OU!

I know in a perfect world a playoff is the answer but unfortunately, it probably won't happen. We are probably about as close to a playoff as we are going to get unless the powers-that-be change their tune and quit being so greedy. Until then, we will have to due with what we have. OOOOhhhhh how how I long for good ole days of NU vs OU on an annual basis the day after Thanksgiving. Now those were the games. As Keith Jackson use to say, "A good ole slobber-knocker, knock down, drag out, donnybrook. I miss those days.

any chance that lucas will try and wrestle at nu also? they are starting to get a pretty good kansas line-up. in 2 years when he would arrive there should be at least three kansas kids in the varsity line-up.

Not so fast, Chief.

I have been talking to Lucas and telling him that the Big Red of Lincoln is the way to go. I knew he was visiting there. He is going to look good as a Blackshirt for the premier defensive head coach in the country. That is Bo Pellini. The Big Red is back. Just remember Lucas that the fans of Nebraska love their players. Football is King in Lincoln Nebraska.

Congratulations Lucas I hope you end up in Lincoln and that I will be cheering for your sacks on Sooners and the rest of the Big 12 for four years. Go Huskers!

Eric:

I hate to see this topic turn into a Nebraska and Oklahoma spitting match. I will just admit that yes Oklahoma was a better team than Nebraska last year. But Pellini had a great first year with Callahan's recruits. I think he is going to be a great coach for the Nebraska and has the potential to turn them into a national title threat again in the next few years.

As far as this scholarship offer to Lucas goes this is great. It doesn't mean that he is going to accept Nebraska's offer. I am sure many other offers will be on the way. Obviously I would like to see him play for my Cornhuskers but I will be a Lucas Vincent fan no matter who he plays for.

I started the Oklahoma thing, and I am not spitting at Nebraska. I have never seen more respect between two teams than Oklahoma and Nebraska. I wish that OU could have kept Pellini as DC. I have no doubt that wearing a blackshirt will mean something again, and in the very near future. Kids won't be tearing them off and throwing them at Pellini like they did at Callahan. Peterson's arrogance as AD almost destroyed Nebraska's program to the point of being Baylorized, but luckily they brought home Tom Osborne, who knew a little about Nebraska Football and the direction that it needed to go. I would LOVE to see those epic rematches. Pellini is embracing Nebraska's past, much like Stoops does at OU by bringing in all of the old greats and showing the games of the 70's and 80's to the team so the kids will understand what they represent.

In saying that I would to hate to see this turn this topic into a Nebraska and Oklahoma spitting match, I did not mean at all to imply that the Oklahoma and Nebraska fans would be spitting at each other. I apologize if anyone took it that way. I was referring to a spitting match to see which set of fans could spit the greatest distance.
