I used the rankings posted by Coach Brown on Jan. 25.

Also, glad to see Bill atop the heap at 119; though it is meaningless unless he is standing atop the podium at Hays in two weeks.

Hasn't Weigel beaten Brockelman 3 times (Hoxie, MCL and a double dual)? Lamar beat two ranked kids last week. I like it...Lamar, weigel, brockelman, davis. That's pretty good Norton mystique to get beat 3 times and still be ranked ahead of the other kid.

Not sure we should be looking at the regular season rankings in a #1 through #6 manner. Perhaps we should view them as an attempt to identify the top 6 in each weight class; as we know, anything can, and often does, happen.

Besides, the only 3-2-1A rankings that matter are the ones that occur at Hays on Feb. 25 & 26.

But that said, it certainly does not hurt to have a little "mystique" working for us!!!!

Coach Ray used this as a ring name when he did WWF wrestling in the early 90's (fyi he looks like Brock Lesnar's brother). But then again if you put a mask on Coach Johnson you might think he was Ray 'Mysteryo'.

Egg, its sadly to see from being a norton wrestling fan and a Superindent that you would atleast know the right weights your kids are wrestling at, especially at 130 and 135.

As I posted earlier, for the breakdown of the Ellis Regional the rankings as posted by Coach Brown on Jan. 25 were used.

I do know at which weights Tug and Kaenon have actually been wrestling (130 &135) and will wrestle at Regional.

Go Jays!

I heard they are only running on two mats at Ellis. Can anybody confirm or deny this? That will make for an awful late night on Friday if this is true.

Heard the same thing. If they are only running 2 mats they should start sooner in my opinion.

Well just make sure to tell your wrestlers to go for pins and you'll get out of there faster and score more team points.
