I meant to say that sounds like a close match to me.

Score was 12-8, late takedown made it closer. And Mitchell Means first match of the season.

Mitchell Means would beat Colby crank. I have watched
Means and he is wrestling alot stronger as the season has progesssed toward state. Mitchell Means shows class when he wins. Cobly Cranks Takes Bows infront of cheerleaders when he wins. I heard this is what he did after the match at regionals. This is a sport of character. Win with class and diginity.I have coached alot of kids over the years and I would expect a little more class from an athlete that is ranked #1 at 145

Nothing wrong with trying to impress the ladies. How is bowing classless?

That's what I was going to say.
Bowing is kind of cool.
Back in the day, it was definately not classless to bow and was actually classy. Who knows what a kid is thinking today though when he bows.
I like it better though than drawing other unnecessary attention to yourself after you win, maybe like holding your arms up in triumph and jumping around (which is ok too and kind of normal and accepted) or something else that is silly or ridiculous or worse, derogatory/unsportsman like.
After actors, and others, do a good job, they take a bow. It is kind of a subtle way of saying, "yes I did good, thank you for cheering for me".
But this is just my thoughts and perception, my opinion.

Just a guess - but maybe he bowed to the opposing cheerleaders which could be perceived as taunting?

Okay well before this gets out of hand i guess i will explain the situation. Although it was not justified either way what happened was on my way across the mat after the match i was adressed in an inappropriate way by one of the hays high cheerleaders and it was just how i reacted in the heat of the moment.. sorry if it really offended anybody that much. For the most part people that i have been around know that behavior isn't common because I am a believer in the whole win like a champion, lose like a champion thing. My emotions were pretty high because it was a pretty intense match, i felt like there may have been a few cheap shots or wrestling after the whistle, but after thinking about it and remembering a few of his prior matches i realized that is just the way he wrestles and there is nothing wrong with intensity, just at the time it got me pretty fired up, which probably was a factor in the bad decision. So once again sorry if it really offended anyone.

If and when Colby Crank and Mitchell Means meet up, my guess is that we'll see two great wrestlers and an equally great wrestling match.

No doubt, Mitchell and Colby have wrestled a number of great matches the last few years. Colby has always been a classy individual in each and every one of those matches. I have watched Colby for a number of years in Highschool and summer wrestling and have always been impressed with not only his skills but his demeaner. Good luck to all the wrestlers this weekened. By the way this is Mitchells dad.
