I am fortunate enough to be asked back to co-broadcast the 3-2-1A State Tourney on Smokey Hills Public TV. I always like to be a prepared as I can for the broadcast. I have a few questions and hopefully you can help me out:
* Who has Jesse Gantz of Stafford lost to at 140 lbs?
* Aaron Patton of Wellsville also has just one loss - who beat him?
* I believe Cole Zogelman of Garden Plain has 2 losses...who has defeated him? He also didn't wrestle in the State Tourney last year...why is that? I don't need to know specifics on that question.
Any other "tidbits" regarding interesting information on any 3-2-1A State Wrestler would be great. It certainly helps out with the broadcast, and hopefull makes it a better product. If you have any good info please post. Thanks!

It is my understanding that Zoglman quit during the middle of the year last season.

Gantz lost an exciting OT match to Zach Eaton from Bennington in the finals of the Remington Tournament the weekend before regionals.
Not sure of his second loss, but one of Zoglmans was a default to the qualifier from Douglass (Shaft). I believe Zoglman was up and had to default due to illness, but not 100% certain about that.

Yeah, both matches of Zoglman's this year were defaults: injury default to Andrew Shaft in a dual and the other was an injury default to Chase Lewonoski of Wichita Independent at the Circle Tournament.

not that it really matters since zoglman has beat him twice since then, but shaft was beating zoglman by 3 or 4 when zoglman got knocked out and had to forfeit

Patton lost to Westin Shay of Osawatomie 4 to 1 at a dual. Shay later finished behind Patton at the Osawatomie tournament. Then Shay lost to Devin Frye of Eureka by default at the Circle tournament (Frye was winning the match by 10). Frye has lost to Patton twice this year and once last year. Frye did manage to win the first matchup last year at Burlington. Jace Campbell lost his only match this year to Alex Bontz of Wichita Independent at the Hays tournament. Bontz later beat Frye at Fredonia and then lost to Frye at Circle. Should make for an interesting 125 bracket at state with Campbell and Patton likely meeting in the semifinals. It's too bad Independent couldn't have still been 3A this year.

You guys are great...I appreciate the info. If any other 3-2-1A fans have additional interesting facts, keep 'em coming. This will help out a lot.

Geez Mike, If you would of been my color man this year you would known all the facts and everyone would of thought you was one heck of a wrestling guru. Like usual I followed the Bluejays from Goodland to Clay Center and down to Newton and all points in between. Seen alot of great wrestling, and I know you would enjoyed it also, rumor is that you may have a girlfriend now....thought you knew girls and wrestling don't mix, well during wrestling season anyway! I'll be looking forward to chatting with you this weekend, hope you don't forget us radio boys up in the crow's nest. How do you get a gig on television?

Hey Mike,
Looking forward to working with you again. I know it's probably common knowledge out there, but I have a question that I haven't found the answer to using the internet. We don't cover the 1st round so it won't affect our broadcast, but who has won any possible matchups between Loomis(BE) and Perez(NO)? Just curious for my own personal bracket fun. Thanks.
