Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion High School Kansas Nebraska senior dual

Any senior Wrestlers who placed any time in their career and live within 50 miles of the Kansas Nebraska Border are invited to come wrestle in a dual vs. Nebraska wrestlers.

The event will be held at Cuba Kansas Hillcrest High School 10 miles east of Belleville Kansas of about 45 minutes west of Marysville.

You will get 5 lbs above scratch weight or wrestle in any weight class you can make. Weigh in is at 4 with wrestling starting at 5

Entry Forms must be to me by march 3rd I will be annoucing the lineup no later than the 5th at noon. I mailed entry forms to all the schools eligable. If you need one let me now at adam@polanskyseed.com and I will send you one.

I only have three entries from each state. If I do not get any more the event will not take place and I will try again next year. I have made a lot of contacts on the nebraska side but big 12 championshiops is this weekend and many seniors will be going to it. Since they have a D1 program in their state they seem to care and have excitement for going. They also have a NSAA rule that make the athelete ineligable for spring sports if they attend a all star event like this. THe Hastings College might help sponser the event next year. Thanks. OMG, you mean there is another state AS or MORE restrictive than KSHSAA? Surely they have a person up there that we can get on their message boards to rant and rave about this injustice.

This is my last ditch effort, I have access to the building on Monday If it makes a difference for the kids I can move the date. I am also opining it up to all senior state placers in the state if you are interested let me know

Have you thought of making it an old timers dual and letting some of the area coaches duke it out on the mat. Ryan Malay vs "Nasty" Nate Naasz would be one to see. They could call it the Battle of the Beards. Whoever loses must shave it off in front of the entire crowd.

From what I saw on the Nebraska Forum and what you've posted here, calling anybody out for being "afraid" of one State or another isn't the way to get participation. Looks like the Kansas boys were just as skeert of the Nebraska boys if you only have 3 from each State.
