Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion High School SENIOR NATIONAL TRAINING SESSIONS WICHITA HEIGHTS

I am going to do training sessions/ open room at Wichita Heights High School for Seniors ONLY who are planning on competing at Virginia Beach for National Championships.

Tentative Schedule:
Mon 3/9 4:15-5:30
Tue 3/10 4:15-5:30
Wed 3/18 10:00-11:30 a.m. (wichita spring break)
Thur 3/19 10:00-11:30 a.m. (wichita spring break)
Tue 3/24 4:15-5:30
Wed 3/25 4:15-5:30
Fri 3/27 Big School v. Small School dual
Tue 3/31 4:14-5:30
4/1--- We are headed to the beach!!!

This is subject to change but what I have on the calendar for now. I am hoping that other schools in the wichita area will open their rooms as well to get these kids ready.


There is a chance that we can add extra sessions if no other rooms are available during the off nights....

What about kids not going but are seniors and doing other tournaments?

that is fine.. I was just covering my butt with KSHSAA about not working with underclassmen... Nathan is more than welcome Mike.

No $chool & $$. A part of it is my mother is very sick and what little $$ we have I have been having to use to visit between here and NE Tennessee and we just cant justify it and him missing school without a coach or someone going that keeps him in the books.

What a great way to start training for senior nationals. These men hooked it up today. We will do it again tomorrow 3/10/2009 at 4:15 at Wichita Heights.... Anyone is welcome to come watch. I am letting Caylor work out because he is training for VA BEACH Junior Division.....

Looking forward to seeing Feldkamp, Furches, Windom...ETC....

Good work at NW today with the boys, would be good to have some lower weights there tomorrow, Furches Vs. Beard I don't know about that. Furches Vs. Maple, I don't know about that. Now Furches Vs. Page, or Caylor, can you spell choke out.

Yea, I was really hoping to see more of them then the above mentioned by now. It was great too see Bo Beard even though when he was done with Chase Nelson, Nelson left on crutches. Wondering where Kansas Seniors are at!!!! Back at Northwest tomorrow for an Open room live hour!!! Get in there, get to work and get out! I will most likely be out of town, but there will be other coaches there to supervise.

I will be there and I have heard from Maize today about room times.

Practice at 10:00 A.M. on Monday 3-16-09 at Wichita Northwest.

We will be going at Wichita Heights on Wed, Thurs, Fri from 4:15-5:30 p.m.

Nice preview of Watson v. Caldwell last night. Good too see Chris Watson last night (even though I think his lungs hurt a little bit...haha) . Caldwell is looking better by the day... I don't think he gets tired ever. Bortz of Pratt (189 lbs champ) is a hard working kid that you can barely pull off the mat to take a breath. Gantz from Stafford is a good work-out partner in the room. Beasley works hard and is a good partner for Roger Windham who made an appearance last night. I have always had respect for Crank (Hutch) however, he is even better than I thought he was. He is going to be a good pick-up for someone at the next level! Fullbright (Maize) will mix it up with anyone. What a good kid as well! One more week until the Sr. Classic!!! Looking forward to seeing whoever can make it tonight!

Small group today. Fullbright, Crank, Maple, Detmer, Bortz, and a freshman from Newton. Solid hour of wrestling however.

Practice Monday and Thursday at Northwest 4:15-5:45.
I have class on Monday for my Masters Classes and will not be at Mondays practice but will have coverage and work-out set up and Thursday I have to do adminstrative coverage as part of my hours.

Tuesday and Wed. will be at Wichita Heights at 4:15 p.m.
