If I had to pick a top contender i would say Jaylan Padilla of
Junction City. I think he won it last year and he look really good at subs and districts.

Jaylen Padilla was state champ at 12u/165 the age jump to 14u is a big difference. McComb is a beast.

Correction Tylor Woodruff was state champ at 12u/165, Jaylen Padilla took 5th.

McPhail beat McComb at Park City this year 9-4, it was a good match but I’d give the edge to McPhail.

Don't count Asbury out he Pinned McPhail at Park City.

My bet is on Asbury vs. McPhail in a Park City rematch. I don't expect you will see a pin this time though. The McComb vs. McPhail semi should be a good one as well. Could go either way. If McPhail gets his rematch, I think he takes the championship.

Padilla was champ at 12 and under 165 last year. I believe that is why he said it is a tough step up to 14 and under.

McComb was a freshman state SQ at 171 this year also. He didn't double out either.
McComb and McPhail were in the 12U 150 state finals 2 years ago and McComb won state then. He wasn't able to wrestle for state last year because of an injury but placed at Tulsa Nationals even with a messed up back.

McComb was sick during Wichita Classic this year.

McPhail is a good wrestler and I'm ready to watch their match in the Semi's! I'll take McComb in a bet.

I've heard he may be hurt this year?
