10 and under 64 returns Blaine Smith from Salina. He has won state the past two years. 12 and under 100 adn 105 are packed with top quality wrestlers. 8 and under 67 has Smull from Salina and Middleton from Olathe.

furry currie sms (aka bighumpdog): It's good to hear Tre and Reis are back in wrestling. It would be fun to see Tre at 10 & Under 61lbs with Dapper DeShazer and Taylor Moeder, possibly Dryden if he doesnt drop, as well as a few others. That would make an interesting bracket to watch and would give Tre plenty of competition to come back to.

10 and under 85 will be tough. Nitcher,Chadd, Srrimple,Mumaw,Mcgoldrick,Slavens,Hoy,Robb.....I am sure there are others that I dont know of...A couple weeks ago at Topeka this class had three state champs in the "A" bracket along with several other state placers...There are alot of very tough kids that will be fun to watch...Good luck!!

iowa fan i think you probably have the most knowledge about this group of wrestlers from what ive seen that you have posted on kids talk. My son is jed from manhattan. id like to know how you think the brackets might end up in the disricts at 12u 100 105 I know you haven't seen much from D4 but you have seen a lot from the other three. jed wrestling at 105 for sure, he lost to sherwood, smith at manhattan, mayes at con, mayes at abilene, busche at macF and nelson at Topeka, were going to wichita this week, lots of kids coming out of jr high, your thoughts would be appreciated.

I think that that 12U is one of the toughest weight classes.

I think 10U 110 will also be tough this year. Just in District II North subs, you have Caylor, who came in 4th at state last year, Chadd, Walker, Bjostad, Borden, Bishop, and Edwardson. South subs also has Bayless, Widener and Hayden, plus a few others.

8 and under 61 looks pretty well packed, from what I have seen this year. We'll see what the Classic brings. As much as I hate the "Mule Barn", it often is a preview for State.

Don't forget Peter Eck. He might be wrestling 110 and so might Brent Haynes.

I know my cousin from Clay Center has only lost 2 or 3 matches, B. Lindsay-8U-67. He beat the Smull kid from Salina I know at least twice. But Smull moved up to 70 the last I heard. So look out for Lindsay he is a heck of a wrestler.

First off B. Lindsey is 8@70lbs.He beat J. Smull once at 70lbs. Justin beat Brooks 3 or 4 times.Smull moved down to 67lbs because he only weighed 65lbs all year and wanted to check out the competition before the state tourny. He also wrestled 10@67lbs and placed every time.Brooks is a heck of a wrestler and always shows great sportsmanship. Not to mention a excellant mannered kid, kind and considerate.I think he will take state this year at 8@under 70lbs.
