Congratulations, Luciano. Nice win.

Do they seed this tournament? That was sure a very tough first round draw for Tanner Kriss.

Looks like a lot the Kansas kids are getting some good first round wins.

Good to see Sharky back out there and winning like that.

sometimes technology or the user has some glitches!!

Cox lost in OT ... 8-10.

Maple wins 11-3!

Detmer wins 8-2!

Cameron wins ... was ahead 6-5 when his opponent defaulted!

Colby Cranks loses.

It is difficult to get a student a pass to miss four days of school. Ryne would have loved to wrestle but that is just too many days off. It is confusing to me why a National Hish School Coaches organization would schedule an event that would require so many missed days of classroom time.

I cant believe Chase would not be in the gym to wrestle. If i had the opportunity he has i would be in that gym until its over.

But then again i'm not surprised by what happened lol.

Yeah i wanted to see him and Feldkamp go at it again. If Feldkamp looses then we just might be able to see it

That would be good to see Feldkamp get first and Chase get 3rd.

I am not sure what the second event is but my guess is that many of the freshmen, sophomores and juniors are wrestling at Brute Nationals in Kansas City this weekend. Both for the reason that Will stated about missing so many days of school and also for the cost savings factor.

Caldwell stays on the winning side ... 6-0!

Beard follows suit ... 11-1!

Feldkamp takes a loss ... 3-8.

Gutz takes a loss ... losing by fall.

Bortz wrestles well but loses ... 5-7.

Kyler with the 11-4 win!

I believe that wraps up the first day of competition at the NHSCA Senior Nationals. Tomorrow, the action starts at 10 am again.
