Is Wrestlinspectat covering something up? It doesn't always have to Tyler's fault. I think it was a legitimate question.

Good Morning Kansas!!

It's about 15 minutes till the scheduled start time. The tourney must be getting smaller as in the venue, we have gone from 28 mats, down to 8.

Those still wrestling today are the best-of-the-best! I was having breakfast this morning with a couple of wrestlers, Bortz and Van Holland. A lot of what this experience is ... is the young men put all they have on the line!

Most of these wrestlers are not accustomed to, being "drawn" in and being thrown to the wolves the first match of the day. Plus, they need to be setting on go, the first match of the day, for 3-days in a row!

Roger Windham was scoreless after one and expertly rode out the opponent in the second. He earned an escape in the third to earn the win and All-American status!

Kenneth Ornelas followed the same path in the first two periods. Kenneth working from bottom in the 3rd earned the reversal late and allowed the escape. Kenneth wins, 2-1. Ornelas has also earned All-American status!

Sharkey's bid fell just short. After a scoreless first period, Sharkey opted down for the 2nd. He couldn't score and the opponent opted down for the 3rd. Sharkey signaled that the match would continue on their feet. He was close to secure the takedown but gave one late in the bout. Slyter loses, 0-3.

Jesseph's match was tied with 28 seconds to go in the match. Cameron came up just short as he gave up a takedown to lose ... 1-3.

Kyle Detmer was trailing after the 2nd, 0-3. It was a flurry of takedowns by each, scrambles, blood-time, etc. but the outcome, Kyle loses ... 6-9.
