I don't think the travel restrictions make much sense. If a team can raise the funds to go to wrestle out of state they should be allowed to go. The way the rules are now a team can travel 500 miles from the kansas border. St.James is 410 miles from Goodland, Ks, so in effect they can travel 910 miles west but only 500 miles east. This doesn't make any sense.
It makes perfect sense! KSHSAA knows if you travel more then 500 miles from the border you will fall off the edge of the world.
