Dr. Guy Mills, the President of the Northwest Kansas Technical College in Goodland made a presentation to the Norton USD 211 Board of Education tonight.

In his presentation he stated that NWKTC will be field a collegiate (junior college) wrestling team for the 2010-11 season and that an "outstanding coach," has been offered and has accepted the position as head coach. Dr. Mills would not divulge the name of the coach as his Board must approve the hire which they will consider doing at their October 24 meeting.

anyone have any clue who the "outstanding coach" is? i have a couple thoughts but they might be premature.

Yes it is true I live across the street from the campus and saw Steve Lampe and his wife walking into the main building and I spoke with a board member and he confirmed it. What a great choice for Goodland not only to have college wrestling but the hiring of Steve Lampe.
