Brent Koehn is a good wrestler but he got smoked in the state finals on a somewhat less competitive weight i dont think he should be ranked number 1 after moving up 3 weight classes

To add to the list above. A couple thoughts on kids that merit a look in some order... 103-Veiyra-SS 112-Dryden-KMP, Kmiec-SH, Williams-STA 119-Hodges-MV, Dakin-Emp, Arnold-Hays 125- 130-Ambrose-Miege, 135- 140- 145-Rickabaugh-SH 152-Cervantes-Miege 160-Willis-SH 171- 189- 215- 285-Kincaid-Miege
I am sure there are others. Not positive on weights but I am close.

I expect Brent to be much improved this year but Oliver is a tough kid. After going over this again, I changed the All-Class ranking at 140 and switched those two.

Watters is going 119. You can get many of the kids off the all-class rankings. Chief has talked with many coaches and knows many of the weights. I believe that is where "back in the day" got the start for his info.

We had our hydration weigh-in today after sign-ups and have some possible weight changes. We really won't know until we get into the workoutsand see where the weight falls but here is what the hydrations tells us.
Zac Gentzler will be at 103 along with another good freshman Ben Lightfoot. Caleb Thomas at 112. Missed state last year but won 29 matches Jake Gentzler weighed 128.9, we'll see where he ends up Jake Sullivan 2 time Qualifier weighed 135 could be at 125 if Gentzler goes down. Jake Umscheid 137 probably 130. 5th in State last year at 125. Alex Bontz weighed in at 140. Might be at 130 but will start out at 135. Codie Bontz weighed 145 and could go down to 135 but probably 140. Josh Miller 157. Probably 152. 2 years varsity for Augusta before moving over this year. Aaron Hoy 203 will go at 189 where he qualified for State last year. Wesley Duerr was not there today but will be back at 215 where he was also a qualifier.
Hope this confused you on some of the rankings.

Andover Central looks tough!!! Add 4 quality wrestlers to the kids they already had. Wow. 2 Bontz boys, another Gentzler, and Miller from Augusta. Something good is going on in AC. The rest of us better step it up. That is several possible finalists.

Thanks Chief for the schedule:
Who knows about "offical" 5A but the conversation has given some more insight and sure is fun! Maybe we can prod the 5A ranker to make a schedule?
