Marrs rolled into the Elite finals by picking up three-straight pins and a 9-5 decision over Jesse Strawn of Old Dominion in the semifinal match. In Marrs' quickest fall of the day that happend in 39 seconds over Joe Nord of Minnesota, Marrs reached a career milestone with his 100th career win. The Oak Hill, Kan., native is now the 25th wrestler in UNO history to reach the mark in his career. In the championship bout, Marrs took a 4-0 lead over Tyler Sorenson of South Dakota State. Sorenson came from behind and notched the 10-9 win.
Marrs received the Elite Division's award for Most Falls. He had three in 3:16 on the day.
