Im tired of hearing about Lucas. Either he is or he isnt. Life and wreslting goes on. And More importantly, I highly agree with Nelson on Jordon Ristau. He would have placed at state last year at 119 had he not broke his collar bone right before regionals. He WILL place this year at 125 and has a win over a couple of thoes guys already there. So in my opinion you should rank him now and save yourself some time later in the season. lol

I don't know if my team is ready, but I'm ready to wrestle, as long as the match only lasts 1 minute

I saw the same thing. Was wondering if he signed. A google search a few ago showed only the forums at wrestlingtalk.com reporting it. Google usually knows everything! Hope it's true.
PS. Go Lawrence High!

Lawrence High over Blue Valley North in dual action! I think 39-29. I may be wrong. Don't have match by match results but know for sure a change in rankings at 171 in store! Good job Lions.

Chief
A lesson please. Ranking all these boys has to be a really difficult job. How do you come up with #1) indivudal weight rankings, is it last years records only or their career records etc. #2) how do you figure school rankings. Like Goddard has 8 in the weight rankings, and Derby i think has 9. so do you just count up who has more and thats their rank? i know i know just call me stupid.
Thank you

Individual rankings are updated on current results. As we move further into the season, last years results are less important. If there are no head-to heads or commons then last years state bracket performance is helpful. The team rankings involve assigning points to each ranked wrestler in a declining scale. I also try to factor in scoring wrestlers that may not place.

So, do you go by wins/losses? If thats the case how many #1 ranked wretlers have 2 or more losses as per several others with undefeated records?

If you have a kid that has only lost to studs in good matches, and another kid that is undefeated, but has only wrestled fish, the kid that lost to the studs in close matches would get the nod most likely.
Most of the time it is common sense stuff. There are some kids stepping it up that will start to pop up in the rankings. Don't get too worked up over a ranking. The cream always rises to the top.
