Hick91; I agree with your opinion. And yes there is a lot of young talent out there. Someone may come out and beat him. But from what I saw from the 80, 88, and 95 pounders last year Quinton is a force to be tangled with this year.

The first sentence was a factual statement and not an opinion. The second sentence was an honest mistake. The third sentence was an opinion.

I can handle opinions. I was just trying to give some advice on putting added pressure on a kid. From what I've heard I'm sure he is one of the top guns. Humility goes a long way in this sport. Good luck to Quinton.

As I posted on another thread:

Paratroop,

Great video, one that should be viewed by all parents/coaches with youth wrestlers who want their child to wrestle successfully at the next level (high school) and beyond. I really liked what he said about closing the gap as I have witnessed many wrestlers over the years do just that.

Trackwrestling results weren't complete in the 8 under 80 bracket. Not complaining at all just wondering how that turned out. Looked like from what is there Newton and Hartley were on course to meet each other in the finals. Also wondering how Rudy Rogriguez (Salina) finished.

Newton and Hartley did see each other in the finals and Newton came out on top. Newton told Hartley that his son wrestles up a weight so later in the year we might see these to drift apart but its great wrestling to watch for now!

The boys had a very good match and I am sure they will have many more before it is all said and done. Dylan will wrestle several different weights in both 8U and 10U throughout the year as we are always looking for the best competition we can find. Not sure where we will end up at have wait and see what he is weighing come March. Right now he is weighing 76 but being a diabetic he will not cut even one pound so great chance he will be at 80.

Rudy took 3rd and Kyle Smith 4th.

Thanks for the results Darren. Are you guys going to Russell? Really enjoy watching Dylan wrestle.

Just wondering who all is going to Russell on the 2nd. Will be my son's first tournament since state last year so not real sure what to expect. He's excited bout it so that's all that matters. Looks like 73, 76 and 80 are all going to be fun to watch this year. Lot of good ones back. Hope there's a good turnout at Russell.

8u's. Those who are planning to attend the Haysville tourny let me know. Since we doing a split tourny, I might be able to set up an exhibition bracket or a few exhibition matches during the other half of the split if interested. This would depend on numbers of coarse. But if your are interested and if it is possible let me know, via a pm.

Wish we could go to Russell so all of my family could have watched Dylan but we are having our tournament in Cimarron on that day.
