wow the 8 under 70 is loaded with talent. Havent seen a few of those kids but have seen some of the names. Sappington and Gamble and Dickerson are probably the top of that bracket. Guess my son better show up this time. Good luck to all the Kansas Wrestlers going.

Gamble is definately the one to beat. I have never seen an 8/under with such a combination of talent, aggression & work ethic. My 12 yer old feels pretty good when he scores on him at practice. Good luck to all!

Brackets and seeds have not been posted online in the past. You get to find out when you get there.

If a kid has a number before his name on the entries page that is his seed.

question for those of you that wrestle the national levels. how do they seed the kids. In my boys bracket we have 2 ks kids that beat several seeded kids at the ted anderson and ironman tournaments. do they not take that into effect or are they seeded strictly by the national tournaments.

Scott,
Fighting that one myself. My guess is that they don't look outside of OK to seed. I think the OK coaches try to manipulate it so that their boys avoid the unknown and try to put out of state kids against each other. I emailed Roller to plead my case about the seeding. Waiting for a reply on that.

I believe Roller uses placement and participation at his tourneys mainly. Correct me if I am wrong. Seems like you have to work pretty hard, meaning go to a lot of his tourneys, before you "earn" a seed. At least that has been our experience.

I would bet they give more consideration to OK kids because Dylan is seeded below an OK kid he beat out of the kickoff classic on his way to a 3rd place finish. The kid finished 1st at Amarillo Nationals and 2nd at JOC so I am sure that was there justification.

Believe it or not, there are also people that embellish their kids' records as well when they send in seeding info. We ran into some of the same issues you are seeing.

good to hear that from you guys. Well lets just hope that all the Kansas kids kick some butt and hopefully they will start giving us the credit we deserve. Will be watching the 8 unders pretty closely and hope to see and talk to some of you coaches. Good luck to all Kansas kids.

I was looking at a few of the 10u seeds - a lot of them were not from Ks or Ok.
