Maybe not, but you can learn to not let it get to that point where the offical can decide it.

Don't give him that much power or control.

I'm not condoning blasting an official, but when 2 highly skilled wrestlers compete against each other, it is often very close and may come down to a close call by an official. To say "don't let it be so close that a bad call can cost you," is a bit unrealistic when 2 evenly matched studs take to the mat.

Now, if a superior wrestler lets an inferior wrestler hang around and then loses on a close call. . . I would "discuss" the call with the official and then tell my wrestler that is the risk you take when you let guys you are way better than hang around. But when 2 good wrestlers take to the mat. . . Come on Man! ///

Brian,

Any head to heads that I missed? Which ones?

He is referencing the fact that Zach Hoehn beat Brett Lamar 7-0 at the Burlington Regional last year. Hoehn also took 2nd at the 321A State Tournament last year while Lamar went 2-2 and has yet to bring home a state medal. Hoehn also has a third place finish in 321A on his resume. Hoehn is 17-0 this season while Lamar is 14-1. However, Lamar's loss was against #1 Daniel DeShazer. I've watched both wrestle a few times and would say Hoehn is the better overall wrestler and believe he is deserving of a #2 rank in the all class standings. Last year Hoehn pushed Nathan Furches to the brink at the Eureka Tournament losing 5-4 against last year's #1 all class at 119.

Thanks for the response Chief, I know that you always do your homework and once again, I state that you are doing a great job with the All Class List but......

Yes, Watters has not been ranked for some time. I obviously know this as I check the list virtually every day. I have wanted to respond about it for some time, but felt it was no biggie because everyone on the list was legit. However, when Davis showed up on the list, I felt that I needed to throw Watters name out. And yes, it is obvious that Davis beat Seaton. Without knowing that, one would still know that just by looking at your list. When you removed Seaton from the list and added Davis, it was apparent what had transpired. You have told me nothing here that I did not already know. But for me, until Davis or Seaton beat Watters, you just can't put Davis over Watters. Lets keep in mind that Watters was the state runner up losing to Pursel. I guess that you are saying if Davis and Watters wrestled, Davis would win. Or perhaps you are just giving Davis his just dues and putting him there out of respect or a courtesy. No doubt any time you beat a Seaton, you have done something and Davis proved he is legit. But could he beat Watters? If you say he can, I would love to see that match.

As for Mulligan, thanks for the enlightenment. I know he is good but I was not aware that he was undefeated as I do not follow 103 as much as I did last year. So big props to Mulligan, he is well placed on your list. I still think that Calderon should be ahead of Sullivan.

Keep up the good work Chief.

112 will be crazy to rank. I have a new #1 but after that it will be tough. As alawys I hope to finish 4A and 6A by Tuesday and the All-Class soon after. All input is appreciated.

152 is a mess!

Before this weekend:

1. Cade Blair
2. Jake Walker
3. Sam Son
4. Josh Rodriguez
5. Colten Picking
6. Landon Keiswetter
7. Dillon Charland
8. Jason Seibel
9. Dylan Penka
10. Ethan Stickel

Figure this out...

Charland beat Walker and has beaten Seibel
Keiswetter has beaten Charland
Walker has beaten Son
Seibel has beaten Penka
Penka beat Keiswetter and has beaten Seibel

At least I have #1 set!

I think at 119 that Beasley should move up in all class to that #1 spot. I noticed that Sparr has 2 losses Who to? Beasley lost to Smith the first tournament of the year and has never lost another since? Not to mention that Beasley has been at 119 all year.

I know Sparr lost in 2OT to Gentzler at Douglas. I believe his other loss is at 125. Possibly to Gentzler also. Sparr lost 10-8 to Furches in last years semis and took 2nd to Cokeley the year before. Cody's big win over Smith this past weekend has definitely made it a tougher choice. His state placings always get in the way for me. We will see by Wednesday!

I dont get your 152lbs. for some reason you had Rodriguez at #4 with a 19-1 record and that loss was to Dozier who I think is still undefeated. And now with your updated rankings you put him at #9. Rodriguez has beat kids that have beat kids you have ranked ahead of him. And please dont ask for my criteria for Josh, just dont knock him when he has not had a loss since. But I guess it is just your guess.... wrong!!!
