I have been to their tourney about a dozen times (including this year) and haven't had a problem with them.

ROTFL!!!

We need a new forum area. What shall we call it?

A. Pu--ification of wrestling

B. You Hurt My Feelings forum

C. How to Develop Healthy Self-Esteem Forum

D. Don't sweat the small stuff. This is only HS sports.

E. ADRIFTK - Adults Don't Ruin It for the Kids Forum

Other names/ideas?

I know a person who has a felon. He did some dumb things when he was young (who of us hasn't? He had the misfortune of being caught).

He has been a very successful business owner over the last 20 plus years. Lives in a $200k home and is respected and loved by many - customers and employees and neighbors alike.

so j. dale should really be in the:
d. don't sweat the small stuff. this hs sports thread?
or should we start a new one,
g. we all make mistakes and deserve a second chance, even officials, coaches, psycho mom's, unsportsmanlike wrestlers, over zealous/ over opinionated dad's, well informed fans who don't want to ref or coach, and anyone else who will be judged by God, or anyone else.

and no one can forget the HA club thread.

Clay Center duals Abilene on Feb 4th. Mr welsh it is in Abilene, and I ask that you go sit on their side of the gym.

Im not going into details like all of you said this is High School, And the parents should not ruin it for the kids. It was just the fans,(the parents the grand parents) THE CLAY CENTER WRESTLERS AND COACHES SHOWED GREAT SPORTMANSHIP!!!!. The Fans sounded like we were watching a Chiefs Broncos game in Arrowhead.

And yes the parents know exactly what I am talking about. I heard One lady say" Am I out of line? Oh I cant wait till the dual"

Jerry, Jarred, etc . . .

Nope. But, I know them. And, we are not related. However, we used to go to the same church together.

I'm Dean Welsh from Junction City. Pleased to meet you Mr. Lucas (I think?!).

Clay Center Wrestlers and Coaches have a great deal of respect for the Abilene wrestlers and coaches. The kids and coaches all get along with each other. The fans on both sides were cheering against each other. That is what is supposed to happen it is a competition. Lucas Baker being from Abilene himself obviously has a biased opinion. It would be just as easy for a fan from Clay Center to create a forum saying Abilene fans be nice. Both teams have great and loyal wrestling fans that have been part of successful programs for a great number of years. The fans and crowd are what make the competitions exciting. The 4A state tournament is going to be awesome and I am expecting a great crowd from both of these schools as they are both in the hunt for a state title. Fans keep up your support because the Clay Center Wrestlers and Coaches love the excitement and support from the fans.

Nothing wrong with cheering fro your team. Get as crazy as you want.
Like i said the lady be hind me ask the question "AM I OUT OF LINE? THEN SAID OH I CANT WAIT TILL THE DUEL!" That was with an Abilene Kid on the mat in the finals wrestling a different school.
Thats all I have to say. BE NICE

Well put Coach! It was a very fun and competitive tournament! I counted 5 lead changes in the Team Race during the finals. The final lead change in the final match (140). I heard no complaints from our team/coaches/fans about CC fans.
Hopefully just a great rivalry!
In years past I have found that the Teams/Coaches get along much better, even in the most intense times than the fans can? I am glad both communities follow these 2 teams.
It is alot of fun.
I would like to invite anyone who would like to see a dual that is everything that HS wrestling is supposed to be to come and watch our dual at Abilene HS next Thursday at 6:30. Two top teams in 4A competing for a NCKL title. Should be fun and VERY LOUD!

Great competition and great fan support, I've always tried to grab one of my sons and attend this dual in recent years.
