Silver Lake kids wrestling club will be hosting a open/novice wrestling tournament February 7th 2010.See calender of events for details. Hope to see you there.

Should be a well run tournament. Have been promised wall bracket updating during the tournament( hmmm, havent seen that very much this year). Plenty of refs (hate grumpy overworked refs), not to mention your regular concessions plus blue ribbon BBQ. Brisket sandwiches for lunch and for those of you that can't make it thru the tournament without a hotdog or nacho we will have those too. Last but definately no least, this is on Sunday!!! Open wrestling on Sunday in 'February means more mat time getting ready for our Kansas qualifying series. Don't miss it!

Anyone interested in this tournament,weigh-in will be Sat.5-7pm Sun. 6-8 am.We will have 2 gyms and 10 to 12 wrestling surfaces.

Running lots of surfaces, 2 gyms, get out early & have a great time! Home in time for SB. Plus 1 lb weight allowance for all!!

Just one thing we need to add or change on the concessions the BBQ will be pulled pork and it is not BLUE RIBBON i was asked by the pit boss that is helping with this that it will be PURPLE RIBBON we all know PURPLE is better the blue in all things.should be great.

Sounds good we will make the long 5 mile drive & wrestle. Happy to see another tourny close to home.

Sounds to me like this is going to be a great tourny with the 1 lb allowance and 2 gyms not to mention on a sunday. sounds like a great way to get some extra quality mat time just before the home stretch of quailfiers.

Reminder, 2/7/10, 11-12 surfaces, 2 gyms side by side, we are looking to be out in good time, I believe theres something else going on later in the evening that most of us want to see. Cutoff date is 2/2/10; any questions call 785-582-4101 & don't forget pulled pork for lunch yummy!!

Should be a well ran Tournament with alot of competion. Silver lake brings alot of great wrestlers to the table just from thier club. Throw in the rest of the surrounding areas and the speed it should run thru and by god what else did you have to do on that sunday. Oh and spend the rest of the afternoon cuddled up to a bottle of Pepto Bismol after choking down one of Cavanaughs pulled porks yummy PINK CHALK !!!!!!!!!!! HAHA

Can anybody tell me the participant count at Silver Lake and Thunderbird?I need to get a match in somewhere.Rock Creek would also be nice.

We have 300 wrestlers as of Monday night .We have been told that other clubs are coming and we will receive there info by wed.
