You guys have been very entertaining today. However, this is kind of following a familiar pattern - Beeson attacks Baker's knowledge or maturity and Baker responds with something in left field. But, I think a major point has been missed. Long hair can cover up skin conditions. We use to let our son keep his hair longer - but after getting impetigo on his forehead we try to keep his hair shorter. When you have a 10 year old boy who gets home from practice at 9 or later, showers are not always at their best. Any kid who bangs hard in matches and practice will have scratches on their foreheads and faces caused by the other kids headgear. If they have long bangs/hair, it is hard to find. This is a good rule and my daughter donated her hair once - not my boy - his hair will never get that long. Beeson is also right on parents should set the rules.
