Jeremy, I agree 100% that every parent needs to make sure their child showers after practice. What Mr. Johnson said was showers are not always at their best. I would have to agree, Jake may be tired and not wanting to take a shower. We tell him he has to go get that mat funk off of him. I guarantee that his shower, on nights when he doesnt want to take one, is not nearly as effective as the one in the morning. I don't think he was saying he doesn't make them take the shower. I think he was saying sometimes they are not as good as they should be.

I love the hair cuts that officials give.

I love the hair cuts that officials give. Now that some of us know the tournament workers checking nails and skin should be also looking at the hair it could get interesting.

I remember about 4 years ago a 14 year old kids hair was too long. There were no scissors available, so his mom had me cut it with a pocket knife. Was not the best or the straightest hair cut, but it got the job done.

If y ou would have gone right outside the front door of the tourney, you would have found a bunch of smokers that would have let you borrow a lighter. I saw a gal accidentally give herself a hair cut by catching her hair on fire. She obviously had lots of hair spray on. Woof!!!!! And I thought I was only gonna see scantilly clad women in that bar!!! Gotta see a fire as well!!

I'm pretty sure they will pull your coach's card if you set a kid's hair on fire no matter how long it is.

I believe that if they want to wear the hair net thing, let them. However, if the match needs to be stopped for them to adjust the hair net, start injury time. After 2 injury times, the opposing wrestler gets choice (up, down, neutral). If you don't like it, cut your hair and follow the rules.

It is not opinion it is fact. If parents are not makeing kids shower after practice they are contributing to spreading skin infections and causing other kids to not be able to wrestle plain and simple.

ENOUGH ALREADY THIS IS A WRESTLING FORUM SOME PEOPLE NEED TO LET IT GO AND FOCUS ON KIDS AND WRESTLING NOT BAGING ON PEOPLE CAUSE OF THEIR OPINION First of all no one is bagging on anybody, they are all having fun. If you don't like the direction this thread has taken, don't read it. FOOOOCCCCUUUUUUSSSSS. I believe that if they want to wear the hair net thing, let them. Why is that? The parents are the ones that sent him to the tourney with long hair and no scissors!!!!!!!!
Hypothetically speaking, would having a "fart lighting" game on playday practice cause a forfeiture of the coach's card also??

Hair lighting probably used to be okay, but not any more.
Not sure on the "fart lighting" game. That would be a question for Randy. Does that really work?

You know, I've been trying to figure out how to keep the aroma. I was thinking a sponge might work. You could just squeeze a little out once in a while.
A mason jar is much better.

I actually saw a episode of Myth Busters, and it is possible to save the aroma, but a mason jar and a freezer is not gonna get the job done. I believe it had to be frozen at around -235 farenheit. Can be done but costs alot of money. Kind of like freezing a head.

Mythbusters obviously never met my older brother who farted in a mason jar & after giving me chest noogies opened that sucker up & it was not very pleasant.
