Team Haysville Wrestling Club will do a satellite weigh-in at their tournament for the Effingham Tournament. Wrestlers will get a 1 pound weight allowance.

We will be taking entries for the Effingham Tournament till Thursday at midnight.

A satelite weigh-in is a secondary location for wrestlers to make weight the night before a tournament. The accomodations allow for wrestlers and parents to sleep in a little more on the morning of a tournament. For example, Concordia's "Con-Kids" tournament offered satelite weigh-ins the night before in Salina. We drove from Oskaloosa to Salina on Friday night, weighed in, and stayed at my Mother-in-Laws house in Salina. The next morning we were able to sleep in and drive the last 40 miles to Concordia. We would have not driven 180 miles on the morning of the tournament to make weight. I appreciate satelite weigh-in stations... and the extra sleep.

I hope that satellite weigh in's are a tool that continues to grow in popularity in the years to come. Kinda hard on the kids to get up at 5 oclock.

Will everyone be allowed the 1 lb allowance, or only those weighing in at Haysville? Can a satellite weigh in be done from the East KS tourney also? smile

The Effingham Tournament is allowing a 1 pound allowance to all wrestlers. The Haysville tournament is not.
But since we are being a satellite for THEIR tournament any kid that weighs in for them will be given that allowance for THEIR tournament.

Also, Yes you can come to the weigh ins at Campus HS and weigh in for them even if you are not wrestling at ours.

BUT, our satellites are not their satellites. In other words you can only weigh in for Effingham AT Campus HS!

We will see you anyway. I have three wrestlers coming. My two boys wouldn't miss your tournament for anything. You do a great job and the boys always find a tough kid or two in their bracket. See you Sunday
