From the Olathe News:
The city's only other champion was Olathe South senior Trip Hiller, who took an early 5-0 lead over SM East junior Chase Woofter.

But early in the third period, Woofter got a reversal and appeared to have Hiller pinned with 1:36 remaining. Instead, the officials stopped the bout and Falcons coach Steve Mesa rushed onto the mat.

Confused Lancers fans thought there had been a pin, but Hiller, who has been appointed to the U.S. Naval Academy and will wrestle for the Midshipmen, was actually unconscious. "He (Hiller) was passed out," Mesa said. "I could see by his body language that he was passed out." The officials awarded two points for the reversal and a three-point near fall to tie the bout at 5-5, but Hiller eventually was able to continue and earned a reversal to win the bout 7-5.
