Confused Lancers fans thought there had been a pin, but Hiller, who has been appointed to the U.S. Naval Academy and will wrestle for the Midshipmen, was actually unconscious. "He (Hiller) was passed out," Mesa said. "I could see by his body language that he was passed out." The officials awarded two points for the reversal and a three-point near fall to tie the bout at 5-5, but Hiller eventually was able to continue and earned a reversal to win the bout 7-5.
The only confusion on the Lancer's part was why the coach was allowed to push Woofter off Hiller with no consequences.
