Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion High School Any upstes/surprises at Regionals?

Samantha Gonzales is a return state qualifier. She was a state qualifier for 321A her sophmore year (she is a Sr now). She went 1-2, was the first girl to ever win a match at state. She got the front page of the Hays Newspaper that year. She should have been in the Championship round at Regionals, She wrestled the Moundridge kid, Official gave her two count for back points, never awarded her points, then gave the kid a reversal after time was out. She lost the match by one point. It was bad enough the whole crowd BOOd him! Got it all on video, but what do ya do...? She handled it like a true wrestler! Very proud of you Sammie!
