Hi Everybody,

The 18th annual U.S. Army Metro Classic will be wrestled March 10th at the Kansas City, Kansas Community College coliseum at 6:30 pm. For those of you who don't know, this duel involves the best seniors of Kansas from the metro area against the best seniors from Missouri from the metro area. Missouri leads the series 9 to 8, but Kansas has won the three of the last four duels.

The meet attracts over 3,000 fans each year and what is neat is that 100% of the profits go to colleges scholarships both in Kansas and Missouri. We are looking forward to some awesome match ups this year from a very powerful Missouri team. It doesn't get any better than this.

See you there,
Gary Ulmer

Gary-

Thanks for being a cog in this awesome event. I look forward to attending every year.

For those of you who haven't been it's worth the trip even if you live out a little ways. A lot of passion on both sides and it really is about the team winning.

All of what I'm about to type are strictly guesses but I would say the following kids would be pretty good choices...
Tom Abrams, BV NW- 112
Connor Grantham, BV W- 125
Tyler Deal, SM NW- 130
Tyler Klopper, SM S- 135
Andrew Jones, SM N- 140
Will Greenshaw, SM NW- 145
Trip Hiller, OS- 152
Mike Arend, BV W- 160
Parker Madl, BV - 171
David Blazevick, ON- 189
Nick Pearch, Blue Valley- 215

That covers everything but 103, 119, and 285 since I don't really see anyone from the metro in those spots. They usually don't wrestle a 103 match anyways and sometimes do multiple matches at a certain weigh if they've got several good kids. Would Lucas Vincent be considered eligible to wrestle for Kansas in this event?

I am hoping that it is an oversight that no one has listed Derrick Weller from Piper.

Kevin Taylor of Second Lagoon is only a junior, so you might want to find another wrestler for 125/132.

This is a great event! I recommend that Cullen Demarest, Lansing, 152 be considered.

Same observation was made by a couple of people last year and yet Kansas came thru with a victory.

i pulled my list from quality 6A kids in the area and obviously i know there are plenty of good kids from smaller classes. i just wanted to get the conversation rolling.

They would be excellent but it is a Kansas City Metro Classic and Valley Center is not in the Kansas City metro area.
