This was something that our kids club, coaches and board brought to my attention and we all thought it was an outstanding idea.
Thursday Jan. 26th after the WHS vs CHS High School Dual these two youth programs held their own dual between youth wrestlers. I think this is a very positive step for the Wellington Youth Program, and I hope Clearwater feels the same way. I know we lose alot of kids and parents early on because of long weekend tournaments, I think this is a great opportunity to breakup the long days and wrestle short duals between youth clubs.
We hope to continue these types of duals in the future. If your kids club is interested please contact. They wreslted somewhere between 20-25 matches after the varsity dual, they taped off the mat into two sections and it ran very smoothly, it also helped with attendance for both events.
