Pyle advances for Norse
With chants of "Let's Go Pyle!" coming from the stands, Luther's Jason Pyle scored a takedown with under 10 seconds to go to knock off Charlie Curran of Elmhurst 9-8 at 149 pounds. He won 2 matches to advance to the quarterfinals.

A few two seeds and 1 seeds fall in early rounds.

The chant has been coming over the top of the media table all tournament, but the Norse fans had reason to celebrate as third-seeded Jason Pyle rallied from a 6-1 deficit to force overtime and eventually won 8-7 in the tie-breakers over sixth-seeded John Marsh of Bridgewater State. Pyle will face Valek in the semifinals.
